Trans lives matter

This just got a whole lot more personal as our 35 year old son announced on Father’s Day that he was now she.

This just got a whole lot more personal as our 35 year old son announced on Father’s Day that he was now she. She has, of course, our full support.

The second image is one I took with my Yashica-TLX 35mm camera in 2017. All three flags have been replaced at least once since then.

The US flag is because I flew US Army helicopters yea many decades ago. Zero regrets. The Puerto Rican flag was for my neighbors and friends. The Pride flag was for my neighbors, relatives and friends. Now it is also for Nick. (No name change yet.)

Being a theologically conservative Christian compels me to be a socially liberal citizen. It’s simply following the words and example of Jesus.

In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

I am a photographer, walker, and sometime paddler, a theologically-educated geek living in Rochester, NY. Once upon a time I was an Army helicopter jockey in Alaska.

I started with film, switched to digital, then went back to classic film cameras.

With major back surgery in August 2019 and bunion repair in January 2020 now behind me, I am gearing up to start Appalachian Trail NOBO in June, 2021 to celebrate my seventy-first birthday. Blogging for The Trek.
